Crewe Alex Flag Day competition winner announcement

The recent Crewe Alexandra Flag day was a huge success, with fans fetching flags both old and new to put on display during the recent home game v Macclesfield Town.

The idea originally flag day idea came about from Crewe Alex fan Grant Coiley. It was fantastic to see both the fans and the club embrace the idea, the Gresty Road End looking magnificent draped in all the fan’s flags.

Fans have voted on the official club website for their favourite flag from a shortlist of 8.  Voting closed last Thursday.

Nearly 750 fans took the time to vote with the winner receiving just under 30% of the votes.

The supporters’ group and club are very pleased to announce the winner is Steve Houchin.

Steve will be presented with a signed 2018/19 Crewe Alexandra replica shirt before the kick off of the eagerly awaited derby with local rivals Port Vale.

The supporters’ group would like to offer our thanks to the club for donating a prize and organising the shirt signing.

The supporters’ group would like to thank everyone that contributed to the day, the fans that brought a flag to display in the ground, the volunteers for helping hang them and everyone at the football club for their support to make the day possible.
