Prior to Christmas, members of The Railwaymen were invited to a Checkatrade Trophy event at Wembley Stadium.
The event was expected to be a PR event to bang the drum for the Checkatrade trophy and to all intents and purposes it did. There was a brief debate between the first three panelists (Shaun Harvey, Ian Holloway and Colin Murray) to discuss why the checkatrade came about – Intention to improve young english footballers, help them get experience in professional game and to help clubs financially as the JPT trophy could end up costing sides money.
