The feel good factor is back at Gresty Road, matchdays are back with a buzz that has been missing over the past few seasons.

With only one defeat in ten the Railwaymen have climbed the table and the Play Offs are within touching distance.

With a visit from the Grecians today both sets of fans are looking up, not down, a win today for either team will see them move closer to 6th spot.

With belief comes performances

We were a team packed full of potential but obviously underperforming. We were lucky if we could strings two halves of football together let alone a string of results.

The past 10 games have seen a huge change in fortunes, gone has the frailness and doubt, it has been replaced with resilience and belief.

Nothing captures that better than the sight of George ray, fist clenched running towards us away fans celebrating goals in injury time.

The players and staff have been rewarded for for all their hard work.

One of the form teams in League 2

The last ten games has seen us become one of the form teams taking 21 points out of 30 available. Only Bury have a better record than us, only Bury have beaten us in those ten games.

With the upturn in form has come a string of better performances and players starting to show their potential. The fans are now eager to see our academy graduates. We are now seeing more consistent performances rather than brief glimpses of talent we all know they have.

Perry Ng and Harry Pickering are now key members of the squad these two have come to the fore during the past 10 games.

These two players are now showing week in week out that we have seen in the brief glimpses earlier on in the season. For many, these two are some of the fir names on the team sheet.

We have also had a tantalising glimpse of Owen Dale, another academy graduate.

Everyone loves to see a player take on the opposition. Owen has shown a great desire to run with the ball.

His recent appearance at Macclesfield encapsulated this.

A brief 10 minute cameo performance which saw him turn his defender several times. The pacy, tricky midfielder also has an end product.

There are high hopes for the academy graduate and it is great to see more competition for places.

As a fan all you want is hope, a chance to dream, the club has given that back to the fans, let’s embrace it.

Who knows where it will take us, Wembley, maybe, let’s live that dream.

It is time to back the boys and embrace the buzz.
